Studying offers and performing projects
Generally, jobs are studied for a number of different reasons such as when:
1.- The work could be carried out using industrialized construction methods.
2.- It would be convenient to use table forms because of the height between the floor slabs
3.- Because of the short duration of the works, the construction method must be industrialized.
4.- It is considered convenient to submit an alternative solution whether because of the structure, execution time or construction method.
In order to study these offers, the Project Manager or person in charge of studying the job must provide the following information:
a.- Time scheduled to build the structure.
b.- Drawing of the jobsite to study the location for the cranes and specify any conditioning factors or inconveniences (adjacent streets, buildings or backfills, etc.)
c.- Drawings of the structure of the floors to be built.
d.- Drawings of the columns.
e.- Drawings of cross sections in order to know the height between floor slabs.
f.- Possibilities of structural changes to increase the feasibility of using industrialized systems.
After analyzing this information, the Department will provide the following:
a. Drawing with the location of the cranes.
b. Structure construction cycles.
c. Calculation of labor required in manhours.
d. Budget for the table forms including installation and dismounting, transport and the tools required.
e. Resources necessary (cranes, pumps, etc.).
f. Method Statement for the construction of the structure
