Shotcreting GRC

Similar to the guniting process, mortar is sprayed onto the molds using shotcreting guns that have been specially equipped with wheels to cut the fibre to the correct size for the job. The location of the fibre is determined based on the stresses the panel will receive. The cement and silica sand mixture is enriched with the agent/s or treatment/s considered appropriate.

01. Clean and check molds and
      apply removal agent.

02. Place implants for anchoring
      and handling.

      with GRC.

04. Compact with roller.

05. Shotcrete the GRC over the
      reinforcement for the lifting
      rings.

06. Compact and check
      thickness.

07. Place type II expanded
      polystyrene insulation after
      verifying that it fits.

08. Attach anchor elements that
will fix the panel to the
      structure after determining
      their exact locations.

09. Shotcrete the second GRC
      shell.

10. Cure for 24 hours and remove
      the form.
