GRC

G.R.C. (glass fibre reinforced concrete) is one of the most innovative construction materials.  It gives the architect design opportunities without precedent.

In this concrete the reinforcing metal is replaced with fibreglass that absorbs the tensions. Since there are no iron bars to protect against corrosion, GRC elements are thin (1 cm) and can be produced in smaller numbers without requiring large investments in molds and curing.

Due to the great variety of sculptural shapes possible with GRC, it is possible to design anything from the simplest shape to the most complex geometrical curving lines with small radii, large arches, 90º angles, etc.  This long lasting material (high strength against bending, traction and impact, fire proof, impermeable, weather and corrosion resistant, etc.) allows the architect to use his or her full creative capacity.
